Regeneration Outcomes How to Guide

How to Manage the Process

Sensible planning can help achieve regeneration outcomes. This includes considering what needs to be done and the various steps involved – see the Planning and Implementation Cycle.

It also means clarifying the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the process, so that a plan can be set out – see the Role of Stakeholders.

The development process should be appropriate to the scale of funding involved. For an authority with fewer regeneration issues and limited funding, the process should be more streamlined and appropriate to the scale of the task. However, you still need to meet the requirements of government and/or funding bodies.

Building in Equalities describes how to take account of the needs of equalities groups. Remember, outcome agreements are “active documents” and there will be scope for improvements. This is discussed in Continuous improvement
